History

The Arab Liberation flag design was introduced after the 1952 Egyptian Revolution. The current version with the Eagle of Saladin was adopted on October 4, 1984, replacing the previous falcon emblem.

Construction

A 2:3 ratio. A horizontal tricolor of red, white, and black with the golden Eagle of Saladin centered in the white band.
