How to Play Similarities

Pick the real flag

Goal

You see two flags that almost match. One is the country the game asks for; one is a decoy. Pick the right one.

Example pair. The live round will show a different look-alike set.

On the board

Tap the correct flag under the name (two big panels, vs in the middle). On desktop, shortcut hints appear under the title: A / ← and D / → to pick. Same keys, Space, or Enter continue after the names show.

Read the name you are looking for, compare both images, and choose. The round’s own text explains timing and points.

Tips

  • Subtle diffs (shade, star count, aspect ratio, or stripe width) usually separate the pair.
  • Canton and emblem are where “almost the same” flags differ most. Zoom there when you are unsure.
